In the beginning of the book they start a journey that is some what life changing for all of them. When they first start to talk about there journey they are talking about who they want to take with them. Then after they end up leaving for the bush. The first night out in the bush they discover what it is like camping with friends under the stars but when They get down into the cauldron. They discover many things one which is a fresh water spring.
